5 Facts About Jona Soquite 'The Voice Teens' Grand Winner

Jona Soquite's says after her winning on The Voice Teens ABS-CBN, "Sobra kong saya po talaga. Naipakita ko sa kanila ang tunay na Jona. Maraming, maraming salamat po." 

As the winner, Jona reived a fashion package, a business package, a dental service package, PhP 1 million cash, a PhP 1 million trust fund, a PhP 2 million life insurance plan , and a brand new house and lot.

Getting to know about Jona Soquite, the first winner of 'The Voice Teens' Philippines.


1. Jona credits her father to pushing her to sing.

In the july 26, 2017 episide, the public got to know more about Jona. She shared that her mom used to make home cooked meals to sell but had to stop, because of their health problems. Her father meanwhile used to join a lot of singing contests.



2. On criticism against her.

Talking with friends reporters after the grand finals, Jona said she was aware some people said that she did not deserve to be in the competition.

3. She is the 3rd contestant from Team Sarah to win.

Jona's winning served as a major birthday gift and comeback for Sarah Geronimo, who took a break from coaching for one season. Jona is the third of her proteges to win the Voice franchise, with Lyca Gairanod winning the first season of 'The Voice Kids', and Jason Dy emerging as champion of 'The Voice of the Philippines Season 2'.

4. Her hair has been always been long.

According to the fun facts she shared on a video posted by ABS-CBN on YouTube, Jona said that she never had short hair "Because ayoko magpaputol." (She don't want to have her hair cut).

5. She auditioned for all 3 editions of 'The Voice Kids'.

In the case of Jona Soqite, she finnaly won in The Voice on her 4th attempt. She previously auditioned for the 3 seasons of the singing contest's kids edition but she failed to get in.

"Pangarap ko talaga ang pagsali sa 'The Voice Teens', dahil gusto kong mabilhan ang pamilya ko ng bagong bahay, at gusto ko din maging isang sikat na singer sa buong mundo. Kaya gagawin ko ang lahat para manalo sa kompetisyong ito at ipapakita ko na may bago akong magagawa this live shows." Jona says before the live shows posting on her social media accounts.
