Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are set to try a new genre for their upcoming movie. According to Alden, they will do an action flick that will be shown later this year or in early 2018.

Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are already gearing up for their next movie.

However, the AlDub love team's movie won't just have a romance theme. Rather, it will be an action love story.

In an interview with Philstar, Alden Richards said that it will be a big challenge for him and his love team partner.

He pointed out, "We're really preparing for the movie na gagawin po namin this year. It's really different from what we've done. Hindi na siya rom-com."

"It involves a lot of action kasi ayun po yung napag-isipan ng creatives and producers. It is an action love story."

"It is a new challenge for us kasi we've been used to rom-coms. We already did drama dun sa 'Destined to be Yours."

"Ito yung isang side ng craft na hindi pa namin na-explore together."

Their first solo movie, 'Imagine You and Me,' was shoot in Italy. This time, their action flick will be shoot ther in the country of Philippines.

"The film will be shoot there in the Philippines kasi the procedures have in mind parang ang daming pangyayari sa Pilipinas. Parang what we can do more for the country is to showcase its beauty through this movie."

The Pambasang Bae is very proud of Maine that she is able to easily adjust in terms of acting, especially since it has only been two years since she joined show business.

He said, "Siya talaga yung malaki yung tinalon, e."

"I've been here for years before we've met and mas nakakabilib yung adjustment niya sa mundo namin."

"I can't do what she's doing noon nagsimula ako. Kasi ang laki ng tinalon niya, e. From a regular girl to an actress. It's really commendable."

According to the report, the movie will be show either in late 2017 or early 2018.
