Alden Richards as Boni Ilagan on "Alaala: The Martial Law Special' this coming September 17!

A unique performance must be met with Kapuso actor Alden Richards because he will give the story of the Palanca awardee Bonifacio "Boni" Ilagan for the special documentary of GMA News and Public Affairs about Batas Militar or Martial Law.

Along with 45th anniversary of the declaration of former President Ferdinand Marcos of the Martial Law, the documentary will follow Boni's experience at that time-since the Martial Law was declared until his arrested and suffering under the Philippine Constabulary.

Boni recalled the past through a short film that he himself authorized. Directed by Adolf Alix, Jr., Alden Richards will feature it to act as 'Boni'.

The documentary will show the creation of the short film including behind-the-scenes clips and interviews from personalities who have experienced cruelty under the Military Act. It will also show how self-professed millennial Alden will gradually learn the lessons of Boni's past-a memorial of suffering 'should not be forgotten by anyone.
